Quick EOTD with Vice Palette!

Hey everyone!
So it's final exams for me right now so I haven't been wearing much makeup lately, but I have a couple colorful looks I did on "study breaks" (haha I'm so lame) saved in my drafts that hopefully I'll be uploading soon once I find the charger for my camera.
In the meantime I want to share this soft smokey look I did using the Urban Decay Vice palette, I've had it for a while and i do use it but I just realized I never really posted any looks with it! I should remember to take pictures of the looks I do with it more often.
Anyway the look is really simple, with no face makeup or anything just a bit of bronzer on my face since I get pretty pale during *certain* times every month... TMI?
Do any of you guys have this palette? What shadow combinations do you like to do with it? And good luck to anyone else who might have their exams now, or waiting for their grades!

Soft Day Makeup

Hey everyone! If you like this blog and want to get more updates, please follow my blog on bloglovin' since Google friend connect will apparently be closing soon! Here is the link: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/3317050/?claim=e7vqyxgmr3j

So I was in a rush to leave my place before the shops closed to do some errands, so I did this really quick look using one of my favorite eyeshadows EVER, and also a dupe for MAC's Smoke and Diamons (limited edition) eyeshadow: Stila Diamond Lil. This shadow is so versatile because you can use it smokey, or you can use it to create a softer look. It's a nice pewter color and I also love it because you can add it with warm colors and browns or with greys and blacks.

The lipgloss is from a Sephora lipgloss stack set that my mom got me when I was home for Christmas. I never really pay attention to Sephora lipglosses, but these are actually pretty nice. They're all pretty sheer and give just a tint of color. They aren't thick or sticky but they definitely stay on longer than all the other "runny" lipglosses I've tried, so I'm a fan. When my mom surprised me with it she said, "here, always keep this with you in your makeup bag," so I guess I also have a sentimental reason for liking them lots. But they're great value, and no ugly "dud" colors. If you have a chance to pick one up you definitely should! I think they're around 8$.

So here's the quick look I did with it, when I did it I actually no intention of blogging it but I actually got a TON of compliments on my eyeshadow/eyes when I went out with it, so when I came home I decided to take some pictures of it =) Hope you guys like it as much as I do!

Glowy Brown Summer Look

Hey guys!
So this is a LOTD I did! It's driving me INSANE that my camera didn't show how glowy and pretty the cheek colours were in real life, but I at least wanted to have this saved on my blog for later cus I definitely want to recreate it again. I even got complimented on it by the girls that worked at the Urban Decay and Clinique counters! For some reason it looks pretty matte/satiny in the photos but in person there was more sheen (weird because it's usually the opposite, but...) I used bronzer mixed with blush to give my skin a glow and matte shadows in the crease with shimmer on the lids to give it a glowy look as well. It was super sunny outside and we had gorgeous weather that day, which inspired this look, so the bronze and glowy eyes were really standing out in the sun! I hope you guys like it as much as I did!

So finally I have my camera back from my friend that borrowed it, so I have some looks that were on the camera that I will be posting (and some that were taken with the shitty iPad that I saved in drafts haha).
So this is a look that I really loved, the overall look has a bit of a pink tone and it's very soft with the grey but also smokey. I wanted to put heavier black liner than usual and I just like how it all looked together! I used the Smashbox Master Class palette for this look, it has a lot of beautiful neutral shades that are super blendable and soft, so I'll show the palette below as well!

CG United & I Herd That swatch

Yo chicas,

Look at mah nails!!! Absolute LOOOOOOOVE the colour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep looking at my nails like "damn, my nails look so sexy". And that's saying something... I'm a nail/cuticle biter/destroyer in rehab!!!! But there is a possibility for turn around!!!!! I'm proud of how "healthy" my nails are now, my nail beds are longer and stronger, they don't peel as often, and my cuticles are in decent shape (minus that one finger but whatchu know about that).

I am also a really bad hand-washer. I probably wash my hands with soap 8-10 times a day. Likely even more, so they dry out really fast and crack especially around the cuticle. I am working on that though!! :)

So back to my nailsI used China Glaze: United (pink) & I Herd That (gold). Amazzzzzzing colours.
Used OPI base coat & Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat.

  • Both nail polishes apply great - no streakiness, no clumping and the fine glitter spread great.
  • This is two coats of the colour.
  • Your nails do feel grainy (so they're kinda like the Liquid Sand nail polishes) but I really like that feel.
  • My friend Linda had these colours on (she is fair-skinned and it looks amazing on her). So this colour is definitely doable for light and dark skin tones.
    • The pink in the picture looks washed out with my skin but in person its such a beautiful subtle colour.
  • Bonus: get the glam without all the flash, the fine glitter makes for a subtle glow.

Anyways, without further delay here they are:

 left hand, flash
 left hand, no flash
 right hand, flash
right hand, no flash

Ciao!

Inspired Colorful Spring Look!

Hey guys! So I've done a look before inspired by LilPumpkinPie05 , and she recently put up another video that was LOADED with colour and I was so inspired to try it out. I really love this look and was kind of nervous wearing it out during the DAYTIME and to my dance class but nobody said anything hahahah. Which makes me feel alright lol... Anyways, sorry for uploading shitty iPad camera pictures again, my friend had my camera. But all in all I just *love* how this looks and I never really thought of wearing HOT PINK on my eyes but I really love how it looked with the orange and the purple =) Here's the original video I was inspired by: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Elkfw7cjKF8

And here's my interpretation! Can you believe I used almost all Sleek eyeshadows for this look except for the teal color? I love their pigmentation, even the mattes are great!

Glamorous matte smokey look

Not much to say about this look! I used Typographic eyeshadow in this look...I love Typographic e/s by mac, it's a dark slate grey and it's way better than Carbon in my opinion. Which is a good thing to say about MAC considering that I think their eyeshadows have gone down in quality SO MUCH over the past few years, and there are a lot of FAR better brands out there now for consistency in eyeshadow quality, shadows, and colors (NARS, Urban Decay, Inglot, Illamasqua, MUFE). I don't know why everyone raves about Carbon e/s because I think that it simply sucks. Comes off patchy, doesn't build up or stick, etc. Typographic is a very dark grey, you can say it's almost black. So I used it in this look and I really like how it turned out =) I got TONS of compliments on this look too! Which was surprising because there was no colour or anything, but I hope you guys like it =)

EYES:
UDPP
MAC All Races e/s (inner 1/3 of the lid, lower lash line)
MAC Copperplate e/s (rest of the lid and lightly into crease)
MAC Print e/s (outer 1/3 of the lid, crease, outer v, lower lash line)
MAC Typographic e/s (darken outer v, outer 1/3 of lower lash line)
MAC Vanilla e/s (brow highlight)
MAC Creamy Bisque e/s (tear duct, brow)
MAC Reflects Pearl lightly on lids (didn't show up in photos AT ALL, but gave some sparkle in person)
MAC Feline eye kohl (upper lash line, set with Print eyeshadow and with NARS Pandora black eyeshadow)
Urban Decay 24/7 Perversion eyeliner (waterline)
Clinique High Impact Mascara

FACE:
UD Naked foundation
MAC Coffee Walnut contour cream
MAC Accentuate contour cream
MAC Cream color base in Tickle Me pink
MAC Hush cream color base (highlight)
Sleek Contour kit:
- Contour color to set contour cream
- Highlight to set cream highlither

LIPS:
Buxom Big'n'Healthy lipstick in Sydney
MAC Angel lipstick on top

The makeup wasn't showing up as dark as it was in person in the pictures, so I took a picture on my iPad. You can see that the look was more dark than it shows in the photos, and you can also see the cheek highlight which I loooove.
