Well hello there sexy followers, what you up to this HOT Saturday night?
First off I should probz introduce myself before I start hitting on you like that creepy brown uncle in a club, who's recently divorced and finding himself and a new wife (so that should tell you I'm brown).
I am the second person in this blog that never posts (but yo I read it Sylv!!). There used to be three of us but the third moved away and well I just didn't want to post because after Sylv put up all these pictures I got super insecure about my skills.
Consider me the wannabe makeup-person who really isn't that good... it's almost like handing a monkey a paint palette and letting them go to town on your face (just kidding, I shouldn't diss a monkey like that, I'm sure a monkey would do better). Y'all can call me Tizz :) I'm East Indian & 25. ALSO SINGLE (I'm a big reader, done school, and work with the guzermint, I don't like long walks on the beach but I do like sunrises...)
So on with it yeah...
As I said, I'm East Indian (from North India to be exact - shout out to my Pindu's out there), born & raised in Canada but I've gone back to mother India twice. I didn't really get into makeup until University and I really do like it. I defz don't have as much as Sylv but I really do like it!
Now that I have a Canon rebel I think it'll be easier for me to post up pictures because really, I find the freaking camera makes a difference in how it comes out.
Me & Makeup:
I'm brown and I'm a weird skin colour. I'm not light-skinned brown, and I'm not dark-skinned brown, nor am I that olive colour. I've got a strong yellow undertone, with pigmentation around my mouth & eyes as WELL as pink in my face. ALL of that makes it hard to find makeup that a)doesn't wash me out b)doesn't make me look chalky and c) makes me look like the sun-kissed golden toasty brown that I am (haha).
I rarely put foundation on because my skin is sensitive so I get rashes and I can't find one that matches me either. Most of them either make me too yellow or too light or too dark. And I don't like mixing either. (more on this adventure later)
I use mostly MAC/Urban Decay makeup. My favourite eyeshadow that works brilliantly on Indian skin tones is UD Half Baked & MAC Amber Lights. That just looks BEAUTIFUL and brings the golden tone in our skin colour out!!!!
So basically, I intend to share with y'all the colours/tricks that I find work with my skin colour, as well as my makeup blunders. Why? Because most Indian beauty blogs out there are not matched to my skin tone so it just does not work for me.
