Hey everybody! So I recently purchased these gorgeous Makeup Forever shadows when I went to a full-concept Makeup Forever booth while traveling. OMG. It was so difficult not to buy the entire stand. In my humble opinion, Makeup Forever has been so overshadowed by other brands recently but it is SUPER high quality, granted it's geared more for professionals so the names/packaging isn't the most appealing or fun, but still a wonderful brand regardless. I've never really been disappointed with anything I bought from them except the cobalt blue shadow haha. When I went to the booth to look at the shadows I also got their Face and Body foundation and concealer put on me, no primer or anything and it lasted all day and had a really nice natural finish to my skin. When I run out of foundation I'm going to consider buying that one!
So if you don't follow me on instagram [@MakeupAsExpression], these are the shadows I ended up buying and was really looking forward to using all three in a look together.
Apparently, the Makeup Forever #68 color is a dupe for MAC's Jealousy Wakes eyeshadow which was designed by Christine from Temptalia! That was a color I really wanted but missed out on, so I'm glad I have a similar one. And I must say it's gorgeous!
So this is kind of similar to the watermelon look I did a few posts ago, but I tweaked it to make it more for night time and I added a lighter green to the inner half of the eyes to give it more dimension (and I felt the teal all over was a bit too dark for the lids). So anyways, I hope you guys like it. I've linked the video below for the tutorial on how I did the makeup too. :)
